I reached out to three passionate Illinois Fighting Illini basketball fans Blaine Lewallen, Jeremiah Dunahee, and Luke Crane, asking about what brought them to love the ILL-INI. While all three have diverse backgrounds, each fall into the same category of loyal fans for a team that has had it’s highs and lows.
Jeremiah Dunahee, student at Illinois State, transferred from the University of Illinois and recalls even in the tough times the environment was always something he enjoyed.
U of I student Luke Crane recalls his Dad leading him to his fan hood of Illinois basketball, where he now follows in his footsteps not only as a student but just as much a fan.
